There is one brief, practical formula for mental health and happiness:
“Settle for disorder in lesser things for the sake of order in greater things; and therefore be content to be discontent in many things.” This basically means we always have to see the bigger picture, and not dwell in our petty discomforts, throughout the course of our recovery.
Many of us find the process of recovery as either “too tedious,” “too expensive,” or “too difficult.” Grow challenges us through this question: If the rough road gets you to a better place and the smooth one doesn’t which are you going to choose?
